“Where Are The Women” – This program in a box for branch use contains a powerpoint presentation along with a script that is based on a research project that was conducted by the ND Women’s Network in 2012. This program is based on a white paper written by Linda Wurth that demonstrates the value women bring to the leadership of corporations, organizations, and government. Research shows that gender balance is about more than women’s rights, it affects performance and profitability. With just three woman in statewide elective office and holding a ranking of 41st in the nation with regard to gender balance in the state legislature, North Dakota appears to be slow to identify and take advantage of the talent women bring to the table.
